When we decided to put our house on the market I simplified every room in our home. The guest room was one that I started with. I wanted to give it a whole makeover. I have always liked the guest room but it just needed a good refresher. I never got a great before picture. The one below was in the process of cleaning out so it was a mess. Before the bedding and curtains were a dark red with touches of mustard, and dark blue. In general it just felt like a primitive country styled room. I wanted to lighten it up. Here is what we did!
Before:After:I have been loving blue lately so I went with a blue and white theme. I went very low budget on this makeover and basically only spent money on the white quilt on the bed. I had everything else already. In this room before, I had pictures hanging everywhere. The walls were covered, including the space above the bed here. As you can see now its a completely blank wall and I love it! By the windows we have a bench. I pulled some pillows from around the house and added them to the bench along with some succulents and the cutest picture of Maylee. In front of the bench I added the little kids table that I made back in December. This room is where I have lots of the toys as well, so it’s a perfect little play spot for Miss Maylee and her soon to be baby sister. I moved this grey dresser into this room for the side table. Topped it with some old books, a pitcher filled with flowers, and a lamp. On the other side of the bed I placed the dresser in the corner with a lamp and a few fun accessories. I am happy to have the room complete and simplified. Now we are hoping the simplified look helps us sell this house!
Where did you get the white bedspread?
